Style
Traditionally, the wedding video is intended to be a documentary, which can become boring. We decided to spice this dull image up, and make wedding video an entertaining experience. Our video is designed to touch and arouse feelings. To do this effectively we tuned ourselve to be sensitive to human emotions at play in order to capture them. This lesson we learnt whilst producing music videos, where entertainment comes first. An e-motive wedding video has to be seen to be appreciated, words alone can't paint this picture.
Preparations
Preparations are fun, which can easily be transferred to the viewer. These scenes can include hair and make up sessions out of the bride's dressing room, or of the 'groom to be' shaving or even having a shower, for example. Other scenes that help set the stage which add to viewer anticipation include scenes of the Reception hall tables being made up, the Chapel being dressed, close friends and family relaxing with curlers in hair and tea in hand, plus a few well wishing messages.
The Ceremony
The Ceremony includes footage of guests arriving all in their best dress and behavior, the groom standing around nervously trying to make pleasant talk, and the grand arrival of the bride. The drama of the wedding march, the sacred vows and exchange of rings, the holy atmosphere during the message and special prayers, the signing of the register and at last, a flood of relief and joy ever-present as loved ones shower the bride and groom with confetti and ecstatic hugs of congratulation.
The Photo Shoot
Although this is the photographers domain, it is always good to capture some of the afterglow seen on the bride and grooms faces, who have been burning for this moment for who knows how long. The videographer will remain in the background during this process so that the photographer to do his or her work as best possible.
The Family Photo Session
Even though the bride and groom will have hard copy photographs of the the family, we also like dedicate some footage to the family photo session.
The Reception
This is all about celebration. Footage of the bride and groom entering the reception hall, toasts and speeches, the bride and groom collecting supper, the first dance, the throwing of the garter and last but not least, the cutting of the cake.
The Edit
The secret to our success lies in the way we edit, and this we don't want to give away here. Under normal conditions the bride and groom can get their video two weeks after the shoot. If we are very busy, four weeks.
Payment
Once a package has been decided on, we ask a 50% deposit to secure the booking. The balance being payable 1 week before the wedding day.
